Hi, I’m Gia.

I’ve always been drawn to creating — long before I ever picked up a camera. As an only child, I spent hours drawing, sketching, and finding quiet ways to express thoughts I didn’t always have words for. Art was never just a hobby; it was how I understood the world.

Photography came into my life unexpectedly. What began as a spontaneous trip — chasing fall foliage with a rented camera turned into something much more lasting. Not because everything went perfectly, but because it didn’t. A missed flight, shifting light, and one quiet, clear day that reminded me how fleeting moments really are. That was the first time I felt the urge not just to see something beautiful, but to keep it.

And beneath a sky filled with the Milky Way, I was convinced.

Over time, my relationship with photography has changed. It’s no longer about chasing rare conditions or perfect scenes, but about noticing what’s already here — subtle expressions, in-between moments, the feeling of being present in your own life.

That’s where I look for now.

MY APPROACH

I’m there to be a friend as you are your truest selves, and to take the photos that feel like you did.

The best photos aren’t forced. So I secretly love candid. Don’t worry, I will still give prompts and provide direction so you feel comfortable. You get to be you, only just you. So you get all the photos you want, plus the ones you didn’t know you needed.

MY MANTRA

Atelier” is a French word for workshop—a place where things are created with intention. “Nine” marks the end of a cycle and the beginning of another. To me, it simply means having the courage to start again.

This space was built with that in mind.

I believe in enjoying your life as it is. In choosing yourself, even in small ways. The work I create is about capturing you in a way that feels natural, flattering, and honest—regardless of age, shape, or where you are in your life.

Through composition, light, and timing, I focus on what’s already there—your presence, your energy, the details you may not always notice yourself.

At Ninth Atelier, you are the subject, and you are the art.

Do it for yourself.
